Updated Masters Thursday Round 1 times, pairings and featured groups
The tee times for the 2024 Masters have been postponed due to weather conditions. Let’s see who plays when and with who in Round 1 on Thursday, April 11.
This year’s Masters will give us some star-studded pairings and a few treats as well such as the highly anticipated return of Tiger Woods. Of course, we will also see the likes of world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy who is still on the hunt for his first green jacket.
The 2024 Masters - Round 1 tee times
As is always the case the Masters at Augusta National will begin with the Honorary Starters. In this year’s edition, that privilege falls to three legends of the game: Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, and Tom Watson all of whom will tee off at 7:40 a.m. ET. From there it will be business as usual with a whole host of eye-catching groups that will take you through Round 1. For starters, we’ve got Erik van Rooyen and Jake Knapp who will kick things off at 10:30 a.m. ET and from there, a plethora of stars all the way down to the day’s final group which tees off six hours later and consists of Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa, and Tommy Fleetwood.
Of course, between those two points, there will be several stars on show such as world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler who has been placed in a group with Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele. They will all get going at 1:12 p.m. ET which is just a few minutes after reigning champion, Jon Rahm, who finds himself playing alongside the reigning U.S. Amateur champion Nick Dunlap and Matt Fitzpatrick at 1 p.m. ET. Other notable groups in the morning session include Hideki Matsuyama, Justin Thomas, and Will Zalatoris who tee off at 12:48 p.m. ET, as well as Wyndham Clark, Viktor Hovland, and Cameron Smith who start at 1:54 p.m.
Where the afternoon session is concerned, all eyes will understandably be on Tiger Woods. The 15-time major champion has returned after withdrawing from last year’s tournament in the third round due to extreme foot pain and will be hoping to make his 24th consecutive cut at the Masters. Alongside him will be Max Homa and Jason Day and they will begin their respective campaigns at 3:54 p.m. ET. Woods and Co. will be followed by two other interesting groups in the form of Brooks Koepka, Tom Kim, and Brian Harman who tee off at 4:06 p.m., along with Ludvig Aberg, Jordan Spieth, and Sahith Theegala will start at 4:18 p.m. For the full list of tee times and groups in Round 1, see below:
