The 2025 PGA Tour season continues this week with the Farmers Insurance Open, the fourth event of the year and the second of the West Coast swing. Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California hosts the tournament between Wednesday, January 22 and Saturday, January 25.

The usual Thursday to Sunday schedule has been altered for one week only due to other sporting events taking place in the United States this weekend, which you might have heard of…

Neither Scottie Scheffler nor Rory McIlroy are in the field, while Xander Schauffele (medical issue) and Collin Morikawa (no reason given) have withdrawn. That leaves the likes of Hideki Matsuyama, Ludvig Aberg, Tony Finau and Max Homa as the big-name attractions.

How much is the record prize purse at the Farmers Insurance Open?

There will be a $9.3 million prize purse at this year’s tournament, with $1.674 million going to the champion. This year’s figure is a record for the tournament, with the overall purse up $300,000 from 2024.

The winner at Torrey Pines will also claim 500 FedEx Cup points.

If you’re watching from the US, you can follow live TV coverage on ESPN+, The Golf Channel and CBS.

ESPN+ viewers can watch the action from 11:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday and Saturday.

The Golf Channel will be airing live from Torrey Pines each day (3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday), while CBS will have coverage between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
