2025 Tennis money winners: Which players made the most on the court on the ATP and WTA?
It was a profitable year for two stars who top the ATP ranking and met six times in 2026, as well as the two players who occupy the WTA top spots.
As the 2025 tennis season comes to an end with Italy awaiting its opponent in Sunday’s Davis Cup final, it’s time to recap who won what and who were the winners when it came to prize money.
In terms of titles, Carlos Alcaraz ended the year with the most titles on the men’s circuit - eight in total, including Roland Garros and the US Open. The Spaniard finished 2026 top of the ATP ranking with 12,050 points, just ahead of the rival he faced in six finals over the course of the last 12 months.
Sinner, the winner
Jannik Sinner collected six titles, beating Alcaraz at Wimbledon and in the recent ATP Finals. Those two victories alone brought in a combined $9.07 million.
And despite being inactive between February through April, it was a more lucrative year for the Italian, who collected a total of $19.12 million in prize money - more than anyone else on the ATP and WTA tours. He is the top earner for the second year running.
Alcaraz is next on the list with $18.81 million. The 22-year-old is also fifth in the all-time ATP career prize money list, with a total of more than $57 million earned since 2021.

Sabalenka, WTA top earner once again
Occupying third place on the 2025 prize money list is world number one Aryna Sabalenka who raked in $15.01 million. Sabalenka starred in nine finals and won four of them. Her year started off with a victory in Brisbane, and after losing the Australian Open and Indian Wells, she bounced back to clinch the Miami Open, Madrid Open and the fourth Grand Slam of her career at the US Open. Sabalenka is now second in all-time WTA career prize money, behind Serena Williams.
Iga Swiatek, second in the WTA ranking, comes next with $10.11 million in earnings from the 21 tournaments she played in this year which included eight appearances in finals. In July, she beat Amanda Anisimova to become the first Polish tennis player to win a singles title at Wimbledon. Swiatek also won the Cincinnati Open and reached two Grand Slam semifinals (Australian Open and Roland Garros).
Elena Rybakina, who beat Sabalenka in the WTA Finals is fifth with $8.46 million and French Open winner Coco Gauff in sixth on $7.97 million.
This season’s totals include payouts from the US Open’s revamped mixed doubles tournament but not from exhibition tournaments such as last month’s Six Kings Slam in Riyadh.
