Amanda Serrano and Erika Cruz preview

Amanda Serrano

Serrano, who is ESPN’s No. 1 featherweight and No. 3 in ESPN’s pound-for-pound rankings, will defend her unified featherweight titles in the main-event clash with Cruz, as the Puerto Rican seeks consecutive wins since failing to dethrone undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor in the biggest ever women’s fight.

The 34-year-old is likely to get a rematch with the Irishwoman in May if she defeats Cruz.

Erika Cruz

Ranked second in the featherweight division, Cruz has held the title since April 2021 when she beat Jelena Mrdjenovich. The Mexican is now looking to produce a big upset and diminish Serrano’s chances of a rematch with Taylor.

In addition to the undisputed featherweight title fight, Alycia Baumgardner also defends the WBO, IBF, WBC, IBO, and The Ring super-featherweight titles against Elhem Mekhaled.
