Anthony Joshua injured in traffic accident that killed two
The former heavyweight world champion suffered minor injuries in a traffic accident in which two people were killed.

British boxer Anthony Joshua was lightly injured in a road accident in Nigeria that left two people dead. The vehicle he was traveling in ended up wedged against the concrete barriers in the median of a highway.
At the time of the crash, Joshua was sitting in the back seat of the car, which collided with another vehicle on the highway. Videos shared on social media show Joshua dazed in his seat and clearly in pain as he was helped out of the car, before being taken to hospital.

Joshua was in the African country visiting family in the town of Sagamu, in the southwest of Nigeria, when he was involved in the accident. He escaped with minor injuries and has said he is doing well, according to sources from the Nigerian police who spoke to the BBC, although he was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Joshua had been enjoying a short break in Nigeria after returning to the ring for his recent fight against Jake Paul, a bout he won by sixth-round technical knockout.

Police in Ogun State confirmed in a statement that two people were killed in the crash. No further details have been released so far, including the hospital where Joshua was taken as he recovers from his injuries and the shock of the incident.
