The highly anticipated showdown between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol is set to take place this Saturday, October 12. After years of build-up, the fight will determine the first undisputed light heavyweight champion in 25 years, and fans around the world are gearing up for the clash. But before these two undefeated powerhouses meet in the ring, a solid undercard filled with exciting bouts is set to entertain.

As we look at the undercard, it’s clear that this event won’t just be about the main event. Some of boxing’s rising stars and seasoned veterans will be stepping into the ring, ready to make their mark on a grand stage.

Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Kamil Szeremeta (Middleweight)

Chris Eubank Jr., the son of a former world champion, takes on Kamil Szeremeta in a middleweight contest. Eubank comes in with a record of 33-3 and is seeking to regain his footing after a mix of victories and defeats in recent years. He avenged a loss to Liam Smith in September and looks to continue that momentum.

Szeremeta, on the other hand, brings a record of 25-2-2 into the ring. The Polish fighter has held his own against tough competition, including Gennadiy Golovkin and Jaime Munguia. On a six-fight unbeaten streak, he’ll be looking to upset Eubank and elevate his standing in the division.

Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke 2 (Heavyweight, British Title)

The rematch between Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke is one to watch. Their first meeting ended in a draw, with both fighters having moments of brilliance. Wardley, holding a record of 17-0-1, is the current British heavyweight champion, known for his knockout power. Clarke, with a record of 8-0-1 and an Olympic bronze medal under his belt, aims to bounce back from the tough fight in March and take the British title home.

In their previous matchup, Clarke was dropped and penalized for a low blow, but he found his rhythm as the fight progressed. Both fighters will be looking to settle the score in what promises to be another war.

Jai Opetaia vs. Jack Massey (Cruiserweight, IBF & The Ring Titles)

Jai Opetaia is defending his IBF and The Ring cruiserweight titles against Jack Massey. Opetaia, who has an unblemished 25-0 record, made headlines when he won the IBF belt from Mairis Briedis in 2022. After briefly losing the belt in a stay-busy fight, he reclaimed it in May, and his dominant performances have solidified him as one of the top cruiserweights in the world.

Massey, meanwhile, has worked his way up to this title shot after some notable victories, including a win over Isaac Chamberlain. Coming in with a 22-2 record, he’s looking to make the most of this career-defining opportunity.

Skye Nicolson vs. Raven Chapman (Featherweight, WBC Title)

Skye Nicolson, the Australian sensation, defends her WBC featherweight title against the undefeated Raven Chapman. Nicolson (11-0) has rapidly risen through the ranks, and this bout will be her first defense of the world title she won earlier in the year. Known for her technical ability, she’s already looking toward unification bouts, but Chapman stands in her way.

Chapman, with a 9-0 record, is a former English National Amateur Champion and is hungry for her first world title. This clash between two undefeated fighters has all the makings of a technical, high-skill contest.

Ben Whittaker vs. Liam Cameron (Light Heavyweight)

Ben Whittaker, the flashy 2020 Olympic silver medalist, faces off against veteran Liam Cameron. Whittaker, with an 8-0 record, is known for his showmanship, often dancing in the ring before delivering powerful shots. A relative newcomer to the pro ranks, he’s been making waves and steadily climbing the light heavyweight ladder.

Cameron, with a 23-6 record, has had his share of ups and downs but remains a dangerous fighter. After overcoming some early career setbacks, he’s determined to spoil the rise of Whittaker.

Mohammed Alakel vs. Jesus Gonzalez (Super Featherweight)

Rounding out the undercard is Mohammed Alakel, a Saudi fighter making his professional debut against Mexico’s Jesus Gonzalez. Gonzalez, with a 3-2 record, will be hoping to use his experience to derail Alakel’s debut, but Alakel, under the guidance of top trainer Joe Gallagher, is expected to put on a strong showing.

Complete Undercard List:

  • Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Kamil Szeremeta (Middleweight)
  • Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke (Heavyweight, British Title)
  • Jai Opetaia vs. Jack Massey (Cruiserweight, IBF & The Ring Titles)
  • Skye Nicolson vs. Raven Chapman (Featherweight, WBC Title)
  • Ben Whittaker vs. Liam Cameron (Light Heavyweight)
  • Mohammed Alakel vs. Jesus Gonzalez (Super Featherweight)

As for the main event, both Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol come into the ring undefeated, with their respective world titles on the line. Beterbiev’s ferocious knockout power meets Bivol’s technical brilliance, and the winner will walk away with the IBF, WBC, WBO, and WBA light heavyweight titles. It’s a historic night for the division, but the undercard ensures that from the first bell to the last, there will be no shortage of action.
