Canelo Álvarez and Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin meet for the third time for the undisputed super middleweight championship in a match that should settle their infamous rivalry.

The Mexican and the Kasakh first fought each other four years ago on the same weekend in September. The fight ended in a split draw, even though fans gave it to GGG. Then, a year later, four-weight champion Álvarez gave Golovkin his first-ever loss in a majority decision victory for the WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring middleweight titles.

Both fighters have outstanding records: Canelo remains the only boxer to beat Triple G, having lost only to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2013 and Dmitry Bivol in May. Golovkin is almost technically faultless, with a record of 38-0-1, with 34 by way of knockout. He is adamant he can beat Álvarez, just as he and many others believed he did in their 2017 fight.

Given the history between these two powerhouse fighters, the Saturday bout has fans itching to watch one of boxing’s biggest rivalries.
