Canelo vs Crawford: what is Usyk’s prediction for the potential mega-fight?

The current undisputed heavyweight king spoke about the potential fight between the American and Canelo and shared his prediction.

The current undisputed heavyweight king spoke about the potential fight between the American and Canelo and shared his prediction.

Terence Crawford is making his last preparations ahead of his much-anticipated return to the ring to take on the WBA super welterweight champion Israil Madrimov.

The Omaha-bred star will be looking to make history this weekend by becoming a four-division champion in his first fight at 154 lbs. Both fighters are undefeated, so an interesting and close matchup is expected at BMO Stadium, in Los Angeles.

Many consider the Uzbek will be Crawford’s biggest test to date and if the American manages to pass this test, he will chase a much-anticipated fight against Saul Alvarez, although Bud would need to transform his body and considerably go up in weight to get to the 168 lbs. limit to challenge Canelo for all the marbles at super middleweight.

Canelo vs Crawford: who does Oleksandr Usyk have winning?

Although many believe it would be a huge mistake for Crawford to bulk his body and go up in weight again to take on Alvarez, others believe Terence’s skills and boxing IQ could give the Guadalajara native a few problems.

One of them is the undisputed heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk. The undefeated Ukrainian shared his prediction for a potential showdown between the two men and expressed Crawford would probably get his hand raised.

I say Terence wins. Terence is a different man. Terence works in two sides on the right and the left,” he said on the 3 Knockout Rule YouTube channel.

“He feels the distance. Terence can box like a big guy”, he added.

Although the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, is interested in making the fight happen, Canelo would likely ask for a huge amount of money, probably around $200 million, to give a talented boxer like Terence the chance of fighting for all his belts.
