Check out Scottie Scheffler’s mouth-watering Masters Champions dinner menu

Update:

For the second time in the last three years, Scottie Scheffler is gearing up to defend his Masters Tournament crown. The world No. 1 stormed to a four-shot victory in Augusta last year, carding an 11-under 277 across the weekend.

That helped to cement his status as the world’s best player and also earns him a special duty for this year’s tournament.

As reigning champion, Scottie Scheffler will host the Masters Champions dinner on April 8. He won’t be expected to invite them round to his house but he has overseen the creation of the menu, which is typically no-nonsense. For the second time the appetizers include cheeseburger sliders and the main course options include a ‘wood-fired cowboy ribeye’.

Here’s a look at the full menu for the 2025 Masters Champions Dinner, served in honor of Mr Scottie Scheffler...

Scheffler has stuck to what he knows for this year’s menu and even reused a number of items from his 2025 selection. It’s a heavy meal for a group of athletes pre-tournament but it should prove pretty popular, unlike some more controversial picks by previous winners.

In 1989 Sandy Lyle went all-in with a main course of haggis, the Scottish delicacy made of minced sheep organs. Adding to the impression, host Lyle wore a kilt for the occasion. Similarly, 2009 host Trevor Immelman served the South African dish bobotie, essentially a meat pie with an egg topping. He also insisted on a range of South African wines to keep up the theme of his homeland.

Perhaps the most impressive of all came in 2010 when Angel Cabrera arranged a full Argentinian barbecue for his Masters Champions dinner. The flame-grilled meats are a massive part of the country’s culinary culture, even featuring prominently for Argentinian soccer teams at the World Cup over the years. Cabrera’s version involved a spread of chorizo, short ribs, beef filets mollejas (sweetbreads) and blood sausages, more than enough to satisfy even the most carnivorous players.
