Estados Unidos Update:

Donald Trump has announced plans for a UFC card at the White House to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026, and fighters are already lining up to take part.

The first to raise his hand for the historic bout at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is Conor McGregor. The former featherweight and lightweight champion congratulated Americans on the Fourth of July and said he would be honored to fight at the White House.

“Happy 4th of July, USA. Excited with President Trump announcing a UFC fight event at the White House,” said McGregor. “I would be honoured. Count me in!”

McGregor has not stepped into the Octagon since July 2021, when he broke his leg in the opening round of UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Still, the BKFC investor has never stopped training and remains focused on making a return.

Just hours after Trump’s proposal, McGregor said he’d like to finally settle things with Michael Chandler, sharing what appeared to be an AI-generated image of the two fighters squaring off on the White House lawn.

Conor McGregor’s White House visit with Donald Trump

McGregor visited the White House earlier this year for St. Patrick’s Day. The Irish star toured the Oval Office with his partner and their four children. ‘The Notorious’ was also in the audience for Trump’s second presidential inauguration.
