Billed as the “Day of Reckoning,” and including eight fights—six at heavyweight and two others within a reasonable reach—topped off by former champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder in separate bouts, the event was the ‘must attend’ pre-Christmas highlight of the social calendar event in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

Cristiano Ronaldo was ring side and the Al Nassr striker was accompanied by his eldest son who, if truth be known looked a little more excited than his father at the Kingdon Arena.

Cristiano was seen talking to Frank Warren, founder of Queensberry Promotions with the veteran promoter instrumental in promoting the ‘Day of Reckoning’ in Riyadh with Warren joking that he was set to sign the Portuguese forward for Arsenal.

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor later took his seat beside the Al Nassr player and there were times when Ronaldo clearly looked uncomfortable with the Irishman’s conversation, although the pair did pose smiling for the cameras.

When will Cristiano next play for Al-Nassr?

Cristiano’s Al Nassr side travel to Jeddah on 26 December as they face a struggling side Al Ittihad side featuring the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kanté and Fabinho with the current Saudi champions going into the contest after a home defeat to relegation threatened Al Raed.
