While many golf fans are familiar with the occasional fashion disasters seen on the course, there is still some mild confusion regarding Team USA’s color choices over the years. Does Team USA consistently don blue attire at the Ryder Cup, or is it merely that our eyes are drawn to the U.S. navy blue more readily than other colors on the palette? Let’s delve into it:

Team USA’s Ryder Cup uniforms since 1993

Since 1993, Team USA has managed to remain somewhat under the spotlight when it comes to their Ryder Cup uniforms. Prior to 2014, when Ralph Lauren assumed the role of the official outfitter for Team USA, their profile wasn’t always in a positive light. However, since that transition, we’ve witnessed a departure from the turtlenecks and v-neck sweaters that used to be more prevalent, leaving some fashion-conscious fans nostalgic.

One thing that stands out, though, is the variability in the color schemes over the years.

Team USA has donned a diverse range of colors, including grey, brown, white, and blue. We’ve gathered a collection of images showcasing some of the team’s outfits dating back to 1993.

The frequent presence of wives and girlfriends is a long tradition at the Ryder Cup

Additionally, for seven days every few years, the women who stand by the side of the 24 men engaged in fierce competition on the golf course for Europe and the United States find themselves drawn into the captivating sphere of the Ryder Cup.

They, too, rock some pretty interesting outfits. And we simply couldn’t not share Team Europe’s wives’ outfit in 1993 with our readers.
