Drake places massive bet on the Fury vs Usyk mega fight
The rap superstar made another of his traditional bets, this time on Tyson Fury to defeat Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh.
Drake just did it again. The famous rapper made another of his sporting events big bets, this time on the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk much-anticipated clash’s winner.
The Toronto-bred musician believes The Gipsy King will remain undefeated and become the first-ever undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era when he takes on the Ukrainian, who hasn’t tasted defeat either as a professional.
Drake put down $565,000 on Fury’s winning the fight and could double his cash to one million dollars if the Brit comes out on top.
Drake’s curse: Usyk beating Fury now?
Although Drake got used to placing many bets on sports, especially in combat sports events, he hasn’t been lucky in many cases.
Boxing fans know about Drake’s curse and didn’t hesitate to share comments about it on X. “Great news for Usyk! Drake just bet on Tyson Fury to win”, wrote a user. “The Drake curse is strong... Fury’s in big trouble”, posted another fan.
Although he has won some big bets, including a $3 million one after backing Paddy Pimblett and Molly McCann in 2022, he has lost many others, like the one backing Jose Aldo against Merab Dvalishvili, which translated into a $240,000 loss.
Drake also lost recent bets on Jake Paul to beat Tommy Fury ($400,000) and Francis Ngannou to defeat Anthony Joshua ($615,000).
