Even Kyrgios surrenders to Alcaraz: “He’s a freak”

Carlos Alcaraz has the world at his feet after the incredible victory over Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final on Sunday afternoon. The Spaniard as silenced many of the doubters and critics with a win over the Serbian who has dominated Wimbledon of recent years.

One of these skeptics of Carlitos has been the Australian Nick Kyrgios, who was a finalist at Wimbledon last year but missed this year due to injury. He showered praise upon the 20 year-old shortly following his win at the All England Club.

Kyrgios, who questioned Alcaraz after his victory against Matteo Berrettini had no choice but to surrender following the final. “Alcaraz is a phenomenon,” he wrote after the youngster from La Palma managed to win the second set in a tie-break.

Kyrgios perhaps saw what was coming from Alcaraz after losing two sets, and went to twitter saying, “If Novak Djokovic can somehow turn this around, I’ll be convinced he’s not human.”

Kyrgios watched the entire match and was very greatful for the show the Djoker and Carlitos put on did not hesitate to applaud both the of their performances. “I haven’t seen an entire tennis match in a long time. Many thanks to Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz for this incredible performance. Congratulations to both of you”.
