Fighting corruption in sport at SIGA’s Sport Integrity Week 2024

The global alliance has announced the dates for its upcoming thought leadership event, to be held in November.

The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) has announced the dates for Sport Integrity Week 2024 (SIW2024). The organisation, which fights for clean sport across the board, will be holding its annual thought leadership event from 11 to 17 November.

This year, SIGA will call the world to action in a collaborative collective effort to usher Sport towards a new era of Integrity under the banner: “#SidewithSIGA for Inclusive and Sustainable Sport!”

2024 Sport Integrity Week building on the success of 2023

In 2023, SIGA’s Sport Integrity week involved 70 hosting partners across 35 cities in 22 countries, with 15,000 participants, 250 speakers and representation from 170 organisations. As proud media partners, AS USA hosted a session during the week.

SIW2024 is set to build on the success of the 2023 edition and is set to make an even bigger impact.

According to SIGA’s press release the call to action “#SidewithSIGA for Inclusive and Sustainable Sport!”, “emphasises SIGA’s unwavering commitment to ensuring Sport is governed and operates in accordance with the highest Integrity Standards, and that all organisations, stakeholders and supporters alike can benefit from socially, economically, and environmentally Sustainable Sport that is delivered in inclusive, representative and accessible ways. This event will mobilise the critical mass that stands behind SIGA’s Mission and Vision and encourage all to support, and take ownership of, SIGA’s ambitious reform agenda that will allow Global Sport to move forward.

SIW2024 will feature activities from around the globe addressing the key threats and opportunities for sustainable and inclusive Sport. It will showcase the pioneering organisations that make Integrity, transparency and Good Governance the cornerstone of their efforts and facilitate the critical elements and determinants of success through innovative ways to deliver knowledge exchange to ensure the key learnings can be applied to all contexts. As such, SIGA will engage world-leading figures and organisations, including Members, Partners, Sponsors, Speakers and the wider audience, in interactive, action-oriented discussions and initiatives relating to key areas of Sport Integrity. These areas will include Good Governance, Sports Betting Integrity, Financial Integrity, Youth Development and Protection in Sport, Environment and Sustainability, Gender Equity, Female Empowerment and Leadership in Sport, as well as Diversity and Inclusion, amongst others.”
