Heading into Sunday, Matt Fitzpatrick has a narrow lead over Patrick Cantlay and defending champion Jordan Spieth, setting the stage for what is sure to be an exciting finale to the RBC Heritage.
Matt Fitzpatrick leads heading into final round
On Saturday, leader Matt Fitzpatrick fired an 8-under 63, which is the lowest of his PGA Tour career so far. Going into Sunday’s final round in Hilton Head, South California, Fitzpatrick leads Patrick Cantlay by a single shot. The day’s play also saw defending champion, Jordan Spieth, shoot a 5-under 66 which puts him just two strokes behind Fitzpatrick on the leaderboard. If Spieth can make up the ground on Fitzpatrick, he will become the fourth player to defend the title. With $3.6 million out of a total $20 million purse, we expect him to try his best. The RBC Heritage is the sixth designated event of the year.
