Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s is set to continue his circuit of exhibition boxing bouts on Sunday, November 13th when he takes on YouTuber Deji at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Mayweather vs Deji: The Breakdown

Since his official retirement from boxing with a perfect 50-0 record, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has still continued to fight and win in a series of lucrative exhibition bouts. To date, he’s got a 3-0 record with victories coming by way of a knockout against Japan’s Tenshin Nasukawa, as well as victory against Logan Paul and a surprisingly tough slugfest against veteran boxer Don Moore. Where Mayweather’s opponent is concerned, it should be said that this isn’t Deji’s first time in the ring. The YouTuber who is actually the younger brother of KSI - fellow YouTube sensation who turned to boxing - has fought in three amateur fights and one professional fight prior to his date with Mayweather. Regarding that last fight, it was against fellow YouTuber Fousey at the O2 Arena in London where he won by knockout.

What about the odds and prediction for Mayweather vs Deji?

As you can probably imagine given the obvious mismatch between the opponents, odds are limited for this fight. Mayweather comes in as the clear favorite with a massive -2000, while Deji enters at around +750. Don’t expect much movement on this one, as quite frankly the odds can’t go any higher without attracting no support for the favorite in the bout.

The Prediction for Mayweather vs Deji

Where an outright prediction is concerned, we’d like to think that the odds can probably give you a clear idea of how we think the fight will go, but for the sake of clarity consider the words of Deji himself: “I’m looking to land a punch. That would be amazing, of course, against the best defensive fighter in the world. So, I’m looking to have fun, I’m looking to showcase my skills and show what YouTubers can do.” While we appreciate, Deji’s humble attitude, it’s quite likely that even the low bar that he’s set for himself will be difficult to reach. Even at 45-years-old Mayweather remains as dangerous as ever and has left no doubt that he’s taking his exhibition bouts seriously.

Quite frankly, it would be silly to believe that the 5-division world champion is simply going to exchange blows with the young YouTuber. That’s to say, the fight is scheduled for eight rounds, but will end when Mayweather wants it to which we believe will be around the fourth round. While Deji deserves credit for improving from his three amateur losses to win his first professional bout, his skill set is elementary at best. Given the fact that Mayweather’s defensive tactics are still as good as ever, we imagine this will be a case of ‘Money’ putting on a show for the fans, before choosing the moment when he puts down the YouTuber to take the win.
