Gervonta Davis arrested for domestic violence: These are the charges against the boxer
The 30-year-old was taken into custody in Miami Beach on Friday, related to alleged assault against his ex-girlfriend last month.

Officials have confirmed that boxer Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis was arrested on a charge of domestic violence on Friday, the latest in a series of legal issues for the 30-year-old.
Davis allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend outside of her home on Father’s Day last month. Law enforcement officials say that the former WBA lightweight champion went to her home to collect their two children on June 15 but the interaction escalated into a physical confrontation.
The boxer allegedly hit her in the back of the head and slapped her, causing a cut to her lip. The accuser then sent a warning text to her mother while the incident was still on-going, while police say a video from a cellphone appears to show Davis throwing something at her.
Davis was taken into custody on Friday and booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County. He was initially held without bond and refused to sign a Miranda warning form when being questioned. On Friday evening Davis was bonded out of jail and was given a three-person escort by law enforcement officers when leaving the facility.
This is the latest in a string of serious accusations made against Davis. He was charged with domestic battery in 2020 after an incident that showed Davis grabbing the same woman by her neck at a basketball game.
In another incident in 2022 Davis was accused of slapping a different woman, although that claim was later recanted. The boxer also admitted to four traffic violations in relation to a 2020 hit-and-run crash in Baltimore, that injured four people.
