Gervonta Davis next up for Jake Paul in exhibition bout

Jake Paul is preparing his return to the ring with a new challenge. After his recent win by unanimous decision last June against Julio César Chávez Jr and his high profile Netflix bout against Mike Tyson in one of the first major exhibition fights that the YouTuber enjoyed in his new career, everything points to Jake Paul’s new rival being Gervonta Davis.

Recent reports from Mike Coppinger of Ring Magazine suggests that the proposed fight with Anthony Joshua collapsed, which has forced the American to look for new rivals.

With the possibility of a fight against Anthony Joshua now off the table, Paul is aiming to face Gervonta Davis in an exhibition fight that is tentatively scheduled for November 15 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

At the moment, no further details of the fight have been revealed, highlighting the weight limit that will be agreed upon for this new fight that Jake Paul has coming up.

Potential weight rules for the fight between Paul and Gervonta

An important aspect to highlight is the weight difference between both boxers, since Gervonta Davis has been characterized as the WBA lightweight champion (between 125 and 135 pounds).

However, Mike Coppinger said that similar rules are expected to those of the fight between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul, where ‘Money’ could not exceed 160 pounds, while Logan Paul had a limit of 190 pounds, so it is expected that in the fight between Jake and Gervonta, similar rules will be established.
