Guinness World Record

All Guinness World Records for giant waves have been broken in Nazaré (Portugal) due to a 200km long submarine canyon.

From October-March, when a squall forms in the North Atlantic, this area becomes the world epicenter of big wave surfing.

Surfers continually chase the 100 foot wave but so far it has failed to appear.  These are the Nazaré big wave records...
