2023 TEXAS OPEN
How much did Corey Conners win at the 2023 Valero Texas Open?
What was Canadian Corey Conners’ financial compensation for winning the 2023 Valero Texas Open, the second time in his illustrious career.
The 31-year-old Canadian Corey Conners won the PGA event, 2023 Valero Texas Open, for the second career time with a one-stroke victory over rookie Sam Stevens; Conners had already qualified for The Masters before his success.
The Canadian completed a four-year winless run on the PGA Tour after claiming a one-shot victory at the Valero Texas Open. The last time he did it was at the same tournament in 2019, with the only difference then being played at San Antonio’s Oaks Course. Conners shot a 4-under 68 to finish at 15 under. He became the 10th multiple Valero Texas Open winner, joining the likes of Arnold Palmer, Ben Crenshaw, and Justin Leonard. Conners also became the first player since K.H. Lee to record his first two PGA Tour victories at the same event.
“It was definitely a battle out there today, but I trusted my ability and thought about a lot of good shots I had hit previously in the week with certain conditions,” Conners said. “It was definitely tough out there, but I’m really happy and proud of the way I battled.”

Conners was a Monday Qualifier when he won the Valero Texas Open in 2019 to earn a spot in the Masters for the first time. This year, he didn’t have that added pressure.
