How much does it cost to go to the 2024 US Open? Where can you get tickets?
Scottie Scheffler is the key favourite ahead of the U.S. Open which gets underway on Thursday at Pinehurst, North Carolina.
The U.S. Open Golf is one of the four major professional golf tournaments that generate immense excitement among fans. The upcoming edition is set to be staged back at Pinehurst in North Carolina for the first time in a decade and, as things stand, there is one man to beat among the 156 competitors... Scottie Scheffler.
Scheffler, the world’s number one golfer, is the clear favourite to clinch the US Open title for the first time and is coming into the competition on a good vein of form after winning last week’s Memorial Tournament, his fifth title of the year, and appears to have put the incident at the US PGA Championship behind him. Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele are also in contention at Pinehurst Resort with Spain’s Jon Rahm being forced to miss the action due to injury.
2023 champ Clark not fancied
The US Open defending champion, Wyndham Clark, is well down the list of tournament favourites this year. Winner by one shot at the Los Angeles Country Club 12 months ago, Clark has struggled for form in recent times, missing the cut at the PGA Championship. On days one and two, Clark is set to complete his rounds alongside Brian Harman and Nick Dunlap.
Getting tickets for the Open
Getting tickets for the U.S. Open is not an easy task, but not impossible if one is prepared to fork out via the secondary ticket market.
Daily Garden tickets only remain for Thursday and Sunday’s action and start from $260.
A small number of daily Grandstand tickets remain at the time of writing but only for Friday’s action and prices start at $350. Full details of the few available packages and ticket types are accessible via Axs.com, the official resale partner of US Golf.
