Robert MacIntyre capped off a remarkable week, which began with Team Europe’s Ryder Cup victory at Bethpage Black in New York, by winning the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews.

MacIntyre prevails in shortened tournament in Scotland

Severe weather conditions in Scotland meant no play was possible on Saturday. As a result, the tournament, staged across Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and the Old Course, was reduced to 54 holes.

Already tied for the lead heading into the final round, MacIntyre fired a 6-under 66 at St Andrews, finishing with a total score of 18-under. He won by four shots over Ryder Cup teammate Tyrrell Hatton and South Africa’s Richard Sterne.

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is the third most lucrative regular-season event on the 2025 DP World Tour, offering a total prize fund of $5 million. MacIntyre’s victory earned him the top prize of $816,000.

Scot goes from strength to strength

This was MacIntyre’s fourth career victory on the DP World Tour, two of which have come in Scotland. He most recently won the Scottish Open in 2024, just weeks before securing his first PGA Tour title at the Canadian Open.

At the 2025 Ryder Cup, MacIntyre earned 1.5 points from three matches, adding to the 2.5 points he collected on his debut at the 2023 event in Rome.
