How much prize money did Davis Thompson win at the 2024 John Deere Classic?
With a number of big names missing, the John Deere Classic still offers up some succulent rewards for the winner.
The action is over at the TPC Deere Run in Illinois, with Davis Thompson triumphing in the John Deere Classic, that ran from Thursday, July 4 to today, Sunday July 7. He finished on 28 under par to take the title from Michael Thorbjornsen, Pan Cheng-tsung and Luke Clanton tied on 24 under in second place.
For his efforts, Thompson goes home $1.44 million richer, along with adding 500 FedEx Cup points to his account.
That’s Thompson’s first tour win and also gets him a place at the Open, taking place at Royal Troon from 18 to 21 July.

The tournament sponsored by the agricultural machinery manufacturer has the lowest prize pot of any regular PGA Tour events, at just $8 million (which might also explain some of the big names missing)
