America’s Keegan Bradley won the 2024 BMW Championship on Sunday, securing his seventh win at the FedEx Tour competition.

Going into the final day’s play Bradley had one-shot lead at the top of the standings having carded a two-under round on Saturday. Bradley, who is set to captain the United States’ team at the 2025 Ryder Cup, birdied four of his last five holes in the third round to leapfrog Scott. He finished the tournament 12-under.

Bradley will be handsomely rewarded for their victory in Denver. The winner takes home a cool $3.6 million in prize money, from a total purse of $20 million. This makes the BMW Championship one of the most lucrative events on the PGA Tour.

Who won the BMW Championship last year?

The 2023 winner was Norwegian golfer Viktor Hovland, beating Scottie Scheffler and Matt Fitzpatrick by two strokes. Hovland was the first to claim the $3.6 million winner’s share.

“To win at a place like this and amongst the best players in the world, it’s pretty cool,” said Hovland after a scorching run through the back nine that saw him finish with a course-record 61. “And to do it that way, making seven birdies the last nine holes…

Before Hovland the previous winners of the BMW Championship were Patrick Cantlay (2022 and 2021), John Rahm (2020), Justin Thomas (2018), Keegan Bradley (2018), Marc Leishman (2017) and Dustin Johnson (2016).

The BMW Championship is the penultimate event in the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup playoff event. The top point-scorer across the competition will be crowned PGA Tour champion for 2024. The final tournament will be the aptly-named Tour Championship, held at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia next week.
