Lucas Glover won the Wyndham Championship, securing his place in the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Playoffs. His rounds of 66-64-66-69 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, followed by a victory over Patrick Cantlay in the playoff bout, have certainly caught the attention of U.S. Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson.

Glover won the tournament after a playoff with Patrick Cantlay. Both players finished regulation on 15-under 265. On the par-4 18th hole, Cantlay’s tee shot found the water. He found the green with his third shot, facing a par putt on the same line and inches closer to the hole than Glover and his birdie putt.

Glover made a par, and then Cantlay missed his putt to the right, giving Glover back-to-back PGA Tour wins. Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood tied for third place, both a shot out of the playoff.

After his victorious performance in the 72-hole stroke-play championship, Glover has acquired an impressive 56.1 Official World Golf Ranking points, signifying a significant rise in his position within the global golfing community. Furthermore, he has also managed to accumulate an astounding 2,000 FedEx Cup points, which further cements his status as a highly talented and accomplished golfer. Glover’s exceptional demonstration of skill, determination, and perseverance has undeniably earned him a well-deserved place amongst the world’s top golfing elites.
