Is Billy Horschel participating at the 3M Open?
After a great finish at the British Open, the golfer seems to be having a second wind in his career that could see him compete at the 3M Open.
Billy Horschel is set to tee off at the 3M Open, a PGA Tour event held at TPC Twin Cities. Horschel, known for his consistent play and flair when walking the greens, has been a regular contender on the PGA Tour. In the 2023 edition of the 3M Open, he finished tied for 13th place with a solid 13-under-par score.
Lately, the American has had some issues with his game, but the 2014 FedEx Cup champion found a second wind by finishing tied for second place at this year’s British Open. This is his best finish at a major championship, and perhaps this is the push he needs to become the dominant force that many critics believe he can be.
How much money does the winner of the 3M Open take home?
The 3M Open attracts top golfers from around the world, offering a purse of $8.3 million. The winner will take $1.4 million home.
In addition, players will be seeking to rack up as many FedEx points as possible, something that Horschel knows very well, as he won the cup back in 2014.
TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota will host the 3M Open from July 25th to July 28th, 2024. Horschel will have to face off against some of the best in the world. Five of the world’s top thirty players, including some tournament favorites like Tony Finau and Lee Hodges, will be present.
