Tourism in the 21st century comes in many forms - from visiting monuments and museums, to enjoying different gastronomic experiences, concerts, shows... and sports events. The latest initiative of ‘Visit India’, the tourism company of the Asian giant, is to attract contact sports fans to Mumbai, seeking the return to activity of one of the great stars of MMA: Conor McGregor.

McGregor up for India bout

The Dubliner responded to a post from Emmett Glenn on X, which assured that a fight between McGregor and Logan Paul had been lined up in Mumbai. The Irishman reposted the tweet with emojis of a heart and the Indian flag.

Logan’s celebrity brother Jake recently faced Mike Tyson and challenged McGregor himself. Logan, in addition to founding the successful drinks company ‘Prime’, has also participated in various events of this type (amateur boxing matches, WWE... etc).

Emmett’s post detailed a fight, presumably boxing, between Paul and ‘The Notorious’ at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai as part of this tourism promotion campaign. One that would earn McGregor a huge $250 million payout - almost 10 times what he earned for his bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.

After replying to Emmett’s post, the Irishman has not shared any further details about the fight. Paul did share a video on YouTube of a visit to India with KSI and Mr. Beast, but he has not given any further information about this fight, which, it seems, may well be a reality.
