MMA legend Anderson Silva and Youtube celebrity and boxer Jake Paul will clash in Arizona in a thrilling boxing bout. Who will get his hand raised?

The MMA and boxing worlds will collide on Saturday night at the Desert Diamond Arena in Arizona, as former UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva takes on social media star and boxer Jake Paul in an eight-round contest at a 187-pound catchweight.

Both fighters are undefeated since they started their careers in boxing. Silva will try to go three for three in his recent boxing career after having defeated Julio César Chávez Jr. And Tito Ortiz, while ‘The Problem Child’ will be aiming to record his sixth win out of six bouts.

It will be interesting to see a fight between different generations: ‘The Spider’ is 47, while Paul is 25. However, the Brazilian is known for his extensive resume in the mixed martial arts world and his impressive performances in the UFC, being considered by many as the greatest MMA artist of all time.

Meanwhile, ‘The Problem Child’ combines his social media work with an emerging boxing career that is being criticized by many due to the lack of big names in it.

Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva: prediction

Despite being 47, Anderson Silva has proven he is in great shape. Since he retired from the UFC, the Sao Paulo native never stopped training and going to the gym.

His reflexes, reach and footwork led him to victory against Julio César Chávez Jr., while he destroyed his former UFC colleague Tito Ortiz in one round last time out, proving he can punch too. And obviously, he will have a great advantage over his rival on Saturday:

“The most important thing I have is my experience. Experience is something Jake doesn’t have”, Silva said.

On the other side of the ring, Jake Paul will try to silence his haters and prove he’s better than many think, although the Cleveland celebrity seems to have the tools to get better as he keeps fighting.

He has won his first five fights as a professional and a victory over Silva would certainly earn him the respect he believes he deserves from the boxing community.

Truth is that he was rocked in his first fight against former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, but he managed to recover and fight back to come out on top. In the rematch, Paul demolished Woodley in the second round.

Against Anderson Silva, Paul will need to fight pressure, as this is his biggest test to date, and handle the Brazilian’s movement and elusiveness. But will he be able to implement his game plan against the older Silva?

Our pick: Jake Paul on points
