Jon Rahm suspended from PGA Tour: What will his 2024 LIV schedule be?
According to the agreement between LIV and PGA, the Basque golfer will participate in 14 tournaments including all the Majors and the Paris Olympics.
It is currently unknown what the outcome of the negotiations between PGA and LIV will be and how it will affect professional golf. However, Jon Rahm’s schedule for his upcoming tournaments is already known. This does not rule out the possibility of adding new stops in agreement between circuits. The schedule for the LIV 2024 tour was released in November, but the specific venues and dates for the individual and team finals have yet to be determined.
Rahm’s schedule includes 14 tournaments, in addition to the four majors he has a guaranteed spot in despite his change of scenery and the Olympic Games. The tournaments include Mayakoba, which opens the season in Mexico on February 2; The Grange, located in Adelaide, Australia, which is known for having a spectacular atmosphere on the field and has given the most credit to the LIV in 2023; Sentosa, in Singapore; and The Greenbrier, in West Virginia, USA.
The exciting news for Spanish fans is that Valderrama will be included in the schedule.
The following golf clubs have been added: Las Vegas Country Club, The Golf Club of Houston, The Grove Club, JCB Golf and Country Club of Staffordshire, and a mini Asian tour of Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong. These additions will replace the Centurion in London, Tucson, Illinois, and the Trump National in Washington, Oklahoma, and Orange County.
As for the major tournaments, the golfer will first defend his green jacket at the Augusta Masters from April 11 to 14. From May 16 to 19, he will face the PGA Championship in Valhalla and the US Open in Pinehurst from June 13 to 16. Finally, from July 18 to 21, the British Open will be played at Royal Troon.
