McGregor’s Euro 2024 prediction: who does ‘The Notorious’ pick as a winner?
The Irishman published a photo capture of his Euro bet in a famous crypto casino. “A nice mil for The Mac!”, the UFC superstar said.
Conor McGregor has been the main UFC focus, as he won’t fight Michael Chandler in the UFC 303 main event due to an injury.
However, the Irishman doesn’t seem very worried about it. Instead, he looks excited for the Euro 2024 start, with the opening game of the soccer tournament being played today.
Besides combat sports, McGregor is a soccer fan, and considering Euro 2024 is one of the year’s biggest tournaments in world sports, he decided to try his luck and place a massive bet on the event’s winner.
Who’s McGregor betting on to win Euro 2024?
England, France, Portugal...? No. According to The Notorious’ wager, none of these teams will win the tournament. Instead, the former simultaneous double champ chose Spain to go all the way in Germany and lift the trophy.
“Vamos Spain! Easy money on the Spaniards to win the Euros on my birthday! A nice mil for The Mac!, he said on his X account.
The Dublin native placed a €83,500 bet on Spain to win the competition, with a potential windfall of over €1 million if La Roja lifts the trophy.
After that, he tagged former Spanish international Sergio Ramos and the sports gambling site he used to place his massive bet, which could mean both men have a common interest in the platform.
