M&T Bank partners with SIGA Summit on female leadership in sport to inspire inclusion

M&T Bank returns for the second consecutive year as a dedicated session partner for the 2024 Summit on Female Leadership in Sport in Manhattan, New York next month.

Update:
M&T Bank returns for the second consecutive year as a dedicated session partner for the 2024 Summit on Female Leadership in Sport in Manhattan, New York next month.

The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA) is announcing its continued partnership with M&T Bank for the second consecutive year, as they join forces on the 2024 Summit on Female Leadership in Sport. This highly anticipated summit, hosted by SIGA founding member Mastercard, will take place on Wednesday 6 March 2024, at the Technology Hub on 5th Avenue in Manhattan, New York.

M&T Bank will return as a dedicated session partner for the summit on the panel dedicated to “Brands, Sport and Integrity” after previously supporting a panel on the crucial role of male allies in advancing female leadership within the sports industry during the 2023 edition.

The annual SIGA Summit on Female Leadership in Sport is firmly on the map as the only conference that addresses gender equity in sport with integrity.

Coinciding with International Women’s Day

This thought-leadership event will feature live panel discussions, keynote addresses, and exclusive one-on-one interviews, all aimed at driving positive change and celebrating International Women’s Day. The summit is – alongside the #SIGAWomen Global Mentorship Programme, and Women on Wednesdays show – part of SIGA’s continuous efforts to promote Female Leadership, gender equity and diversity in Sport.

“Equity in sport will benefit the industry”

Jan Liebchen, Senior Vice-President, Head of Brand Activation and Sponsorships, at M&T Bank, stated: “M&T is once again proud to partner with SIGA in our shared belief that equity in the sports will help the industry reach its full potential. More diverse representation at the table will significantly increase the positive influence of sports within our communities.”

Meanwhile, Katie Simmonds, SIGA Global COO, and #SIGAWomen Managing Director, added: “Thank you, M&T Bank, for renewing your commitment to SIGAWomen! We look forward to working together to curate an impactful panel discussion that will inspire inclusion and instigate systemic cultural change. This is the second exciting partnership we are announcing in the lead-up to the annual SIGA Summit on Female Leadership in Sport. We invite other brands and sports with a commitment to gender equity and diversity and inclusion, to join us to celebrate the change we will lead in the industry.”

SIGA is a non-profit organisation that works with stakeholders from across the sporting world to safeguard integrity and good governance in the industry. AS is a proud media partner of the body.
