The Brit believes that the Murcia native will make the necessary adjustments to be stronger mentally next season.

Speculations and predictions have already started for the next campaign’s tennis. now that the season has come to a close.

Who will win the Australian Open? Who will win the most Grand Slam events next term? Will Djokovic finally win the Olympic gold medal? There are quite a few interesting questions that only time will answer, but some have started voicing their thoughts.

One of them is Cameron Norrie, who thinks that Carlos Alcaraz will have a better year than Sinner.

The Spanish and the Italian superstars are expected to lead the new generation of talents, alongside Holger Rune and the newcomers in the ATP.

Alcaraz has won six ATP titles this season, including Wimbledon, while Sinner has led Italy to win the Davis Cup, defeating Djokovic in the final and also during the ATP Finals’ round robin.

Norrie’s 2024 prediction: Alcaraz over Sinner

Despite Sinner’s impressive performances this year, especially in the last weeks of competition, Norrie thinks Alcaraz will have a better season than the Italian.

“I think Alcaraz will do better than Sinner next year,” Norrie said to Tennis365.

“I think Alcaraz has a more complete game. He moves better than Sinner, has more variety on the forehand, has better drop shots, he volleys better than Sinner. More skillful with the slice”, he added.

“So I’d say Alcaraz has a better year than Sinner. Let’s see, I could be wrong.”

However, for Norrie, there’s only a big favorite in Australia, and that’s no other than Djokovic.

“When you look at his record in Australia, clearly he [Djokovic] is the favorite (...) You want to see how close you are to the best player in the world at the moment. He won the ATP Finals the week before, so there is no doubt he is the best right now”, he stated.

Norrie, who will play in the United Cup at the end of December, will try to go past the third round at the Australian Open for the first time in his career.
