Momentum continues building up for the highly anticipated fourth annual Sport Integrity Week (#SIW2023). The pace of growth of SIGA’s flagship event demonstrates why Sport Integrity Week is the world’s number one thought leadership offer on Sport Integrity. In just three weeks since its public launch, #SIW2023 has already attracted an impressive roster of 62 Hosting Partners, including Diario AS. There will be partners from a total of five continents, 21 countries, and 33 cities.

The latest additions to the Sport Integrity Week include the historic and multi-titled Argentinean football club Racing, the Sri Lanka Football Federation, the Portuguese club GDS Cascais SAD and the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee.

Financial integrity and transparency in sport will take centre stage during #SIW2023, as global finance leader Dow Jones announces its participation. Dow Jones, one of SIGA’s founding members, will host the SIGA Special Session on Financial Integrity & Transparency in Sport at its London HQ, on Friday, 8th of September, bringing insights and expertise from the financial world to strengthen Sport Integrity, Transparency and Accountability.

Academic institutions will also showcase their commitment to Integrity in Sport, as Belgium’s Brussels School of Governance and Lebanon’s University of Norte Damme join the movement. Both institutions will host events aimed at contributing to thought leadership in the field, aligned with SIGA’s vision, mission and reform agenda.

Adding a profound social impact to #SIW2023, SIGA welcomes the Em Busca de Uma Estrela (In Search of a Star) initiative, an innovative and pioneering project, aimed at empowering girls aspiring to be professional athletes. This project’s mission aims at providing equal opportunities for young female athletes through football, promoting gender equity and female empowerment.

As the countdown continues, Sport Integrity Week 2023 welcomes the Sports Career Development project, one of SIGA’s media partners. On Wednesday, 6th of September, the Sports Career Podcast, hosted by SIGA Youth Council member Ed Bowers, will present a special edition, offering valuable insights for aspiring sports professionals.

The global participation, diverse representation, and impactful initiatives during Sport Integrity Week 2023 reflect the collective commitment of the sports industry to uphold integrity and transparency.

Stay tuned for more updates as we gear up for the most impactful Sport Integrity Week ever, with an unwavering focus on fostering a fair, ethical, and sustainable sporting ecosystem.
