UFC 287 is set to kick off on April 8 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Florida. A rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya will headline the fight card in a five-round title fight.
The two middleweights first shared the octagon at UFC 281 when Pereira became the first man to finish ‘The Last Stylebender’ in MMA and also earned the middleweight title.

Before that, Poatan and Adesanya faced off twice in kickboxing fights. The Brazilian beat Adesanya both times, winning the first fight via decision and the second via knockout.
Now at UFC 287, the Nigerian-born will have a chance to avenge his recent loss against Pereira and re-capture the middleweight throne.

Adesanya is currently 23-2 as a professional fighter, with 12 of those victories coming inside the octagon. If it weren’t for Pereira, Adesanya would have only lost to former 205-pound champion Jan Blachowicz in the light heavyweight title bout at UFC 259.
On the other hand, Poatan is only eight fights old in the sport. He, however, has been victorious in seven of them. Pereira’s only loss came in his MMA debut when Quemuel Ottoni defeated him via submission in 2015.
