Netflix’s docuseries follows not only the careers of golf’s top players but their personal lives as well, which introduces us to the partners they have.

The Netflix documentary series Full Swing presents the lives of professional golfers on and off the course during one of the most tumultuous years of the sport, owing largely to the creation of the LIV Golf Tour.

The show follows some of the most prominent names in golf, including Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Tony Finau, and Joel Dahmen. As the show’s first season gives a glimpse into their day-to-day lives, the people who feature in them were also introduced to the public. The players’ wives got some airtime, and added color to the stories.

Paulina Gretzky

Paulina Gretzky is no stranger to sports. The wife of Dustin Johnson is also the daughter of Wayne Gretzky, largely considered the greatest player in NHL history. Aside from the obvious attention she would have received, she has also carved out a space for herself in front of the cameras either as an actress and a model, with more than a million Instagram followers. To date she has appeared in the movies Grown Ups 2, Guns, Girls, Gambling, and Fame. Gretzky says she didn’t appreciate golf much as a child, because she was sent to golf and tennis camps as a little girl. That changed when she met Johnson, even caddying for him at the 2016 Masters Par 3 tournament. The two of them have two sons, Tatum and River Jones.

Jena Sims

Jena Sims, the wife of former world number one Brooks Koepka, is also an actress. She has appeared in television shows such as Entourage, Dexter, and One Tree Hill. Sims won beauty pageants in her hometown of Georgia, and her philanthropic work is related to such contests. She heads Pageants of Hope, her own non-profit organization that provides workshops for kids with special needs.

Alayna Finau

Alayna Finau, just like her husband Tony Finau, is Polynesian. They have been married for more than a decade, and share five children. Their relationship is featured in the episode called Don’t Get Bitter, Get Better, where they are shown supporting each other through the death of his mother and her father. Alayna is often present in her husband’s tournaments, and in 2018, the whole family caddied for Tony.

Alayna works with Tony in a charitable organization that they founded, which aims to empower the youth and their families through education and recreation. The non-profit has launched programs to give books to underprivileged children and provide Thanksgiving meals to those in need.

Lona Skutt

Joel Dahmen met his wife Lona Skutt met in 2011 while they were waiting to be served in a restaurant. Seven years later, they got married. Just last month, they welcomed their first child, Riggs William. Lona has been a pillar to Dahmen, supporting him through crises in his family. His mother died of pancreatic cancer, after which his brother was diagnosed with testicular cancer.
