Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney summary online, round by round, stats and updates
Devin Haney shows off perfection as he shuts out Regis Prograis
Haney puts on boxing masterclass
Devin Haney was widely expected to outbox Regis Prograis. He is fast, he is clinical, and he has done it at the lower weight. But nobody, and I do mean nobody, expected him to shut down Prograis entirely. But that is exactly what he did.
Devin Haney was, for lack of a better way of saying it, perfect.
While Prograis was probing, chasing, it seemed that sooner or later he would have to catch up with Haney. The early rounds dripped past without a glove being laid on Haney, and then in the third round Prograis was dropped. He wasn't hurt, other than his pride, but the fact that Haney could not only frustrate the champ but also counter him was shocking.
As those rounds slipped under the keel, Prograis became visibly more frustrated. Unable to land anything at all, Prograis began to take bigger risks, trying to close the distance. Haney continued to stay out of range, countering every assault and making Prograis look out of his depth.
When the dust settled, there was only ever going to be one winner. In an incredible move, all three judges saw it as a clean sweep for Haney, handing him every single round. I am not sure that I have ever seen that in a title fight. Ever.
When asked after the fight about who could be next, Eddie Hearn mentioned Ryan Garcia, Teofimo Lopez, and Gervonta Davis. All of those would be incredible bouts for Devin Haney. And if he does what he did tonight, he will sweep them all aside. We are in the presence of greatness here.

WELCOME!!!
Welcome to Diario AS USA’s live coverage of the WBC super-lightweight title bout between Regis Prograis and Devin Haney from the Chase Centre in San Francisco, California.
The former undisputed king of the Lightweight division has decided to try and extend his grasp as Devin Haney goes up a division into the Super Lightweights to challenge Regis Prograis for his WBC title.
With little left to prove at the lower weight, Haney has set his sights on the current WBC Super Lightweight champion. Haney is undefeated as a professional and has made light work of all comers whereas Prograis has looked haggard and unjointed of late.
Prograis’ only blemish is his loss to Josh Taylor back in 2019, but at a full decade older than his opponent, there are concerns that father time may be catching up with Rougarou.
Further down the undercard, Ebanie Bridges will make her second defence of her IBF Bantamweight title against Miyo Yoshida in her USA fight debut. A former ring card girl turned boxer, Bridges has turned the boxing world on it’s head by proving that she could really bang with the best of them.
Olympic Gold Medal winner Andy Cruz will make his second professional appearance in a 10-round lightweight clash with Jovanni Straffon.
