Report: Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis close to January fight deal
Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis are close to signing a deal for a January fight. The only thing left is deciding on which network will broadcast the event.
The fight between Ryan Garcia (23-0, 19 KO’s) and Gervonta Davis (27-0, 25 KO’s), two of the most important young boxers of the moment, is closer to happening after several months of talk on social networks.
According to a report by Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, the representatives of Garcia and Davis have managed to establish an agreement for both boxers to face each other in a 136-pound-limit bout in January 2023 in Las Vegas.
The only drawback to formalizing the agreement is deciding on which network will broadcast the fight. DAZN has a deal with Garcia while Mayweather Promotions, Davis’ representatives, want the fight to go on Showtime.
