Rory Mcllroy passes $75 million in PGA Tour career earnings
Rory McIlroy passes Dustin Johnson on the all-time Career Money Leader list after his top-10 finish at the Travelers Championship
Following his T7 finish at the recent Travelers Championship, Rory McIlroy has become only the fourth golfer in PGA Tour history to surpass $75 million in career earnings. The Northern Irish golf star now holds third on the PGA Tour’s all-time career earnings list, trailing only Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson.
McIlroy’s ascent to the third position came after his $650,000 payout for his performance at the Travelers Championship. He previously trailed Dustin Johnson in the rankings but surpassed him with the earnings from the tournament. McIlroy needed just $248,530 to overtake Johnson, according to sources. Johnson’s current earnings are limited to PGA Tour majors as he participates in LIV Golf.

The $75 million milestone for McIlroy was officially achieved after his second-place finish at the U.S. Open, which concluded on June 18. Although he fell one stroke short of champion Wyndham Clark, a victory would have ended McIlroy’s nearly nine-year major drought.
Woods, Mickelson, Mcllroy
It is unlikely that McIlroy will significantly climb higher on the earnings list for the foreseeable future, as he still trails Phil Mickelson with $96,572,310 and Tiger Woods with $120,954,766 in career earnings. To catch up to these golf legends, McIlroy would need to secure numerous tournament victories and additional major titles.
