Hot on the heels of his shock win over WBC Super Lightweight champ Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia has accepted the challenge from Sean O’Malley.

Ryan Garcia is now ready to face new challenges after recovering the best version of himself in the ring, dispelling all the doubts in a stunning victory over WBC champ Devin Haney.

King Ry’s new challenge will still go through the boxing ring, but will involve an entirely different beast: mixed martial arts fighter and current UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley.

Garcia expressed his intention to fight O’Malley, but has ruled out an MMA contest. “He wants a boxing fight. Hmmm... I wanted an MMA fight, but let’s do it. That’s my brothers name, dog. Now I have to destroy you. The little pony can’t defeat me!”

Sean O’Malley’s response was a resounding “Let’s do it.” The world of combat sports grows smaller by the day and if this fight does take place it would be well in keeping with Ryan Garcia’s unique vision of his own road forward.
