Sean O’Malley changes opinion of McGregor: “F**k Conor”
The American, who admitted on several occasions to be a fan of the Irishman, is no longer his admirer and is ‘switching sides’ for UFC 303.
Sean O’Malley had always said he was a fan of Conor McGregor, and he even claimed that he would be his “successor”. However, some statements by the Irishman accusing him of taking illegal substances made the bantamweight champion no longer want to know anything else about him. “This is when your idols turn rivals,” Suga said to TimboSugarShow. O’Malley hopes Chandler finishes The Notorious at UFC 303.
Ryan Garcia tested positive for Ostarine, a banned substance, in his fight with Devin Haney a month ago, and the news shook the world of contact sports. McGregor made a statement on his X account, which he later deleted, insulting and threatening the boxer. But it didn’t stop there, since he also attacked O’Malley.

The bantamweight champion didn’t like those comments. O’Malley had always admired The Notorious, the UFC’s most representative star, and now, he has “switched sides”. “I’ve seen a lot of people being like, ‘Damn, I bet Suga’s sad. Suga always talks nothing but great about Conor and he’s his f**king idol’. I was more sad than mad. Now I cannot wait to see Michael Chandler absolutely just sleep him. “F**k Conor,” O’Malley said.
McGregor will return to the cage almost three years after breaking his tibia in his third fight with Dustin Poirier. The Irishman had problems with the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) to be able to compete again, as he wasn’t on the list and didn’t match the date requirements of some anti-doping tests. He will finally return on June 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas against Michael Chandler.
