Shakira makes appearance at F1 Spanish Grand Prix as Hamilton finds form
Shakira was spotted in the paddock at the Spanish Grand Prix Sunday, nearly one year after announcing her separation from former Barcelona FC legend Gerard Piqué
Back in May we saw Shakira at the Miami Grand Prix sharing a meal with Lewis Hamilton after the British driver finished fourth at the race. The pair were seen dining at the Cipriani restaurant in the downtown Miami.
That same week the Colombian singer was seen with Tom Cruise at the racetrack in Southern Florida, but she put rumors to rest about any possible romantic link to the Hollywood star.
Shakira has been very discreet about her personal life ever since she slammed her ex in the hit song BZRP Music Session #53 she recorded with Bizarrap. It wasn’t the only time she put her feelings into lyrics aimed at letting the world know what she thought about the former Barcelona defender.
Shakira visits the paddock at the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix
Although a romantic link with Lewis Hamilton has not been confirmed it is interesting to note the singer’s visit to the F1 Spanish Grand Prix on the same day Hamilton tied his best finish of the 2023 season.
One year after her separation from Piqué, it seems like the Latin Diva is ready to move on to bigger and better things. The couple had two children together, but never did tie the knot. Since their split, Piqué has been dating Clara Chía, who was a target of the singer’s frustration in another song with Karol G.
Lewis Hamilton voted driver of the day, comes in 2nd place
The British driver had struggled up to this point so far this season. This was the second time he finished on the podium after also coming in 2nd place in Australia in April. This was the first race that both Mercedes drivers finished on the podium, with teammate George Russell coming in third behind race winner Max Verstappen of Team Red Bull.
“I think (Red Bull is) still a bit too quick at the moment but we’re working on it. One step at a time and if we can get close by the end of the year that would be awesome but if not next year,” Hamilton said.
