SIGA and Cityscape Global have announced a strategic partnership aimed at fostering integrity, innovation, and sustainability at the crossroads between Sport and Real Estate.

SIGA and Cityscape Global have announced a strategic partnership aimed at fostering integrity, innovation, and sustainability at the crossroads between Sport and Real Estate.

The Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA), the world’s largest coalition dedicated to promoting Sport Integrity, and Cityscape Global have just announced a strategic partnership aimed at fostering integrity, innovation, and sustainability at the crossroads between Sport and Real Estate. The collaboration will debut during SIGA’s flagship initiative Sport Integrity Week 2024 at Cityscape Global, taking place from November 11 to 14 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

What is SIGA’s partnership with Cityscape Global about?

In a statement released on Tuesday, SIGA explained: “This partnership represents the beginning of a broader, long-term collaboration. Both entities are committed to expanding the partnership into future areas of mutual interest, further solidifying the importance of Sport as a key driver of social, economic, and sustainable development. One of the focal points at Cityscape Global will be the “Stadiums and Mega Events” stage, where core Sport-related themes, such as Integrity, Stadium Evolution, Design, Technology, Esports and Fan Engagement, will be under the spotlight”.

SIGA is contributing to the event´s lineup with high-profile thought leadership sessions dedicated to Sport Integrity, and with the inclusion of prominent speakers, including but not limited to football legends Louis Saha, Gilberto Silva, Sol Campbell, Nicola Innocentin and John Obi Mikel, alongside global industry leaders including Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, SIGA’s Global CEO, Densign White, CEO of IMMAF, and Maite Ventura, Managing Director of LaLiga MENA. Further protagonists emerging from this partnership will be soon announced, as well as the sessions powered by SIGA.

SIGA’s reform vision is based on four pillars: Good Governance, Financial Transparency, Sports Betting Integrity, and Youth Development & Protection; with a fifth one being underway – Sustainability. By working with over 100 global stakeholders from Sport, government, business, and civil society, SIGA leads the way and drives efforts to uphold the most advanced set of Universal Standards on Sport Integrity, ensuring ethical practices and positive societal impacts. The SIGA Independent Rating and Verification System (SIRVS) offers the ultimate tool that allows sports organizations to assess their level of compliance with the Universal Standards.

Through this partnership SIGA and Cityscape aim to highlight Sport’s role as a key driver of sustainable social and economic development, emphasizing the importance of integrity as its bedrock.

Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros, Co-Founder & Global CEO of SIGA, emphasized the relevance of the agreement:

“Sport Integrity is much more than a standalone concept. It is deeply connected with Socio-Economic Growth, Urban Development and the successful delivery and legacy of Mega-Events. And that is why, today, we are thrilled to announce our strategic partnership with Cityscape Global, a collaboration that underscores the significance of these interconnections.

“This partnership will undoubtedly help us to establish a robust, long-term relationship and drive the adoption of the highest integrity standards across the sports sector and its broader ecosystem. It also highlights the increasing influence and global reach of our Sport Integrity Week, the world’s premier thought leadership event dedicated to raising awareness and fostering solution-oriented discussions and the much-needed reforms on the critical challenges facing the world of sports.

“Together, we are committed to setting new benchmarks for integrity in sports, ensuring that our collective efforts contribute to a sustainable and ethically sound future”.
