Snoop Dogg’s surprise pin on The Miz

Snoop Dogg set up a wrestling match between Shane McMahon and The Miz on Sunday during Wrestlemania 39. McMahon ended up leaving the ring with a knee injury after landing on it awkwardly during the fight.

Snoop Dogg, always the entertainer

After the medical staff took McMahon away, Snoop Dogg unexpectedly came into the ring, apparently to take his place. He then punched The Miz right in the mouth before throwing his glasses into the audience and then landing a “Snoop Elbow” on him.

“My hats off to Snoop. You know, just picking it up and just like, ‘Oh, man, he’s hurt? Alright, I’ll fix that.’ He’s a natural-born entertainer,” said Triple H. “I’ve known Snoop for years in this environment and what kind of a fan he is, but, man, tonight he put himself, from a respect factor for me, he put himself in a different playing field for me.”

This was the first time Snoop Dogg actually wrestled in a WWE match, but he’s been the “Master of Ceremonies” in 2008, was a Guest of Honor for Raw in 2009, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, celebrity wing, in 2016.

During Wrestlemania 39, not only has Snoop played matchmaker, but he’s also filled the role of MC, taken part in Rey Mysterio’s entrance, and finally, thrown some hands in the ring himself.
