Speaking on behalf of SIGA, Global CEO Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros stated: “These are extremely exciting times for SIGA and for Sport Integrity. We are very proud of the growing number of organisations that are joining our ranks and stepping up for Sport Integrity in response to our calls to action.
“Sports Innovation Lab is a significant addition to our global community and it is great to welcome them as our latest Member. They bring a significant wealth of knowledge, capabilities and expertise to SIGA and are uniquely positioned to support our efforts to supercharge Sport Integrity through our innovative and expanding range of initiatives. We encourage all organisations in every country and every sector of the global sporting industry to join our global movement.”
Four-time Olympian – once gold medalist, twice silver medalist, and once bronze with the USA Ice Hockey team, Angela Ruggiero is the co-Founder and CEO of Sports Innovation Lab, and former Chair of the IOC Athletes Commission. Speaking on behalf of this leading fan intelligent and market research company, Angela Ruggiero shared her enthusiasm for joining this collective of like-minded organisations and individuals:
“As Sport continues to grow globally at a remarkable pace, we must ensure we extend an exemplary standard of fair play across all markets while also realising our potential as social change agents. Our vision at Sports Innovation Lab of powering the industry to be a better version of itself – making it more equitable, sustainable, engaging, and innovative, is in alignment with SIGA’s work to hold the highest integrity standards across sports, and so we feel there is a very natural fit between our organisations.”
“As the newest member of SIGA, we will utilise our research, data, and strategy expertise to bring new solutions to life for the ecosystem. We recognise that integrity is paramount to the success of the sports industry from top line audience engagement all the way down to youth-level participation, and so in every aspect of the industry we want to uphold our responsibility while also capitalising on the opportunity to spur social and environmental change.”
