The 22-point difference is the widest in a final in this competition, overtaking the previous record of 20 points that had also been set by the United States.
Star forward A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces was recognized as the World Cup’s Most Valuable Player, adding to the WNBA MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards that she already received this season.
