Teofimo Lopez vs Jamaine Ortiz full undercard: complete list of fights before the main event
The fight between ‘The Takeover’ and Ortiz is expected to be a full-packed action one, but which are the rest of the bouts?
This promises to be one of the most exciting weekends for sports fans. Before Super Bowl LVIII between the 49ers and the Chiefs, boxing fans will be able to enjoy an interesting boxing card headlined by the fight between Teofimo Lopez and Jamaine Ortiz.
The Takeover is one of the most entertaining fighters in boxing today and will be looking to add his 20th victory to his resume as a professional.
However, the 2015 Golden Gloves gold medalist will have a tough opponent in The Technician, who is expected to be one of Lopez’s most difficult tests to date.
Both men have only lost once so far, with the Brooklyn native having tasted defeat to George Kambosos Jr. in 2021, and Ortiz losing to Vasiiy Lomachenko in 2022.
Lopez is regarded as one of the best boxers in the light welterweight division, being the current WBO and The Ring champion, while Ortiz will try to surprise his rival and become a world champion despite being a big underdog.

Besides the main event, there will be plenty of interesting fights taking place in Las Vegas. One of boxing’s hottest prospects, Keyshawn Davis, will take on the veteran Jose Pedraza at lightweight. The American has a record of 9-0 and will try to stay undefeated when he steps into the ring against the Puerto Rico boxer. The 2020 Olympic silver medalist, Davis is heavily favored to get the win.
Before that, George Acosta and Rene Tellez-Giron will go face-to-face in a fight with no belts at stake whereas the American, with only one defeat as a pro, is expected to get the better of his Mexican opponent.
The undefeated fighters Abdullah Mason (11-0) and Benjamin Gurment (8-0-3) will collide in the super lightweight division. The 19-year-old Mason turned pro in 2021 and has won all but two fights by knockout.
The lightweight Charlie Sheehy will try to remain undefeated when he takes on Abdel Sauceda. The 25-year-old Sheehy turned pro in 2021 and his last win took place last November against Jesus Vasquez Jr. Meanwhile, Sauceda, known as Gallo Negro, is 2-2 in his last four bouts.
Javier Martinez and Raul Salomon will meet in the ring in a middleweight contest. Milwaukee Made’s last fight was a knockout win in November against Isaiah Wise, while Salomon lost his last bout to Tyler Howard.
Alan Garcia and Tomas Ornelas will meet at super lightweight, with Kid Kansas looking to record the 11th win of his career and remain undefeated, although Ornelas is on a four-fight win streak.
The American Antonio Zepeda will step into the ring to take on Lemir Isom Riley in a heavyweight clash. Fireworks are expected here, with the 29-year-old Zepeda being the favorite to come out on top.
The first event of the card is the one showcased by Art Barrera Jr. and Michael Portales in the super lightweight division. The 18-year-old Barrera Jr. beat Daniel Kaminski in his last bout, while Portales is 1-2 in his last three fights.
