Terence Crawford challenges Canelo Alvarez: “We’ll see if it’s true when he says it will be easy”
American Terence Crawford wants Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez to eat his words with the 37-year-old claiming the Mexican will be easy to beat.

Terence Crawford is starting to heat up the possible fight against Mexican Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez which is tentatively earmarked for September 2025.
“My arms are long, I am strong, I even dare to say that they underestimate my strength. It is true that we’ll fight in his weight category and he knows it very well, but let’s see if it will be easy as he claims,” Crawford said as part on an interview with the “Cigar Talk” podcast.
Crawford is undefeated with 41-0, 31 wins by KO and is adamant that if he beats Alvarez, it will boost him as one of the best boxers of all time.
“Winning this fight will consolidate me as one of the best of all time. Because there aren’t many fighters who have done what I did, going from 135 to 168,” Crawford added.
The American has held world boxing titles at WBA super welterweight, WBC interim super welterweight, WBC recess champion at welterweight.

Canelo to fight in Saudi
Before the planned September fight, ‘Canelo’ Alvarez will face Cuban William Scull (23-0-0, with 9 knockouts) on May 3 in Saudi Arabia.
The Mexican boxer will be looking to be proclaimed the undisputed super middleweight champion by trying to regain the IBF belt, which was stripped from him for not fulfilling the mandatory fight.
Canelo Alvarez will go into the Saudi bout after defeating Puerto Rican Edgar Berlanga by unanimous decision on September 14, 2024.
