The Rock announces his surprise return to WWE
The actor and wrestler announced his appearance at the SmackDown event, which will take place on Friday afternoon.

When no one was expecting him anymore, when it seemed that The Rock was not going to appear on the Road to Wrestlemania, the actor announced tonight on his X account that he will make an appearance on the next SmackDown show that will be broadcast this coming early this morning from New Orleans.

The wrestling legend used four words in his announcement: “Bold and disruptive. Unpredictable and dangerous.” Even so, fans remain skeptical. The event he will attend is set to take place in Louisiana’s main city, which is expected to be the host of WrestleMania 42. Because of this, some believe Dwayne Johnson might be appearing solely to make that official.

However, his return could be linked to this year’s edition of the Grand Event, which will take place in Las Vegas on April 19 and 20. Although The Rock, during his last appearance at RAW’s Netflix debut, attempted to make amends with Cody Rhodes, the current WWE champion still has no challenger for WrestleMania. In fact, WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Triple H, addressed the actor’s return in a press release: “Buckle up. When the Final Boss shows up this time of year, the audience knows anything is possible. Everything can change in an instant.”
