Hideki Matsuyama has a narrow advantage heading into round three of The Sentry, with Collin Morikawa leading the chasing pack in Hawaii.

What happened in round two of The Sentry 2025?

Tom Hoge was the early frontrunner in the PGA Tour’s season-opening event, taking a one-shot lead into day two at Kapalua Resort on Friday. However, the American was overtaken by Matsuyama and Morikawa in the second round, as the pair both went round in an eight-under 65 to go into the weekend on -16 and -15, respectively.

Hoge is now one of four players tied for third place: the 35-year-old is level on -14 with Corey Conners, Maverick McNealy and Thomas Detry. The 2024 champion, Chris Kirk, is down in joint 39th: he registered a six-under round of 67 on Friday, but a day-one 74 means he is back on -5.
